Lan Tuazon showed up Friday to see the show (and hopefully help make it!)
Allison Wiese made a still for Moonshine – it really worked and tasted good.
Lan finally got to go for a swim, I had lured her up to Omi with promises of swimming in the lake. I didn’t realize that the lake was only one foot deep. Here she is in the pool.
Yutaka Sho drove over from Boston. This thing on the dashboard of her car is a model of the last public sculpture I made – 3 years ago!
We walked around and took a look at some of the other sculptures in the park.
Mathew Lusk built these tents.
Then something wonderful happened – Tim Davis arrived with his wife Lisa.
He said that he would swim through the floor of my sculpture (That was the point all along but I scrapped the idea of an exclusivley water entrance when I saw how shallow the pond was)
He said he would swim in the pond before he even looked at it.
He had to dive throught the hole in the floor of the hut and swim under it to the outside.
He would be swimming through about 6 inches of water and 2 feet of black muck. And at least one snake that I had seen hanging around all weekend.
Now it is my turn.
