Early Boatmaking Projects

(1991–2002)

In 1991 I built a small aluminum rowboat and started exploring the network of canals underneath downtown Providence Rhode Island. Since then I have built over 20 boats to explore cities in the U.S. and around the world. I dug up all the photographs I have, and together they make a kind of history of my exploration and boat building – or a history of the Tide and Current Taxi.
